Description
Jet tomography aims to reconstruct the properties of the quark-gluon plasma from the modification of energetic particles and jets traversing it. Because jets contain many intertwined length and time scales, no single observable provides a complete image of their interaction with the medium. I will discuss a multi-messenger approach to jet tomography in which inclusive jet suppression, $R_{AA}$, and energy-energy correlators provide complementary views of the same underlying dynamics. While $R_{AA}$ characterizes the overall strength of jet quenching, energy-energy correlators reveal how that modification is distributed across the angular structure of the jet. Together, these observables can distinguish whether the plasma interacts coherently with a jet as a single color charge or resolves the individual partons produced during its fragmentation. Measurements by the experimental programs at RHIC and the LHC probe this physics over complementary collision energies and jet kinematics, opening a path toward determining not only how strongly the quark-gluon plasma quenches jets, but also the spatial and temporal resolution with which it probes them.
