Venue, Accommodation, and Travel

School venue and Hotels:

The CNRS thematic school GWsNS-2026 will take place from 28 June to 3 July 2026 at the Station Biologique de Roscoff, a seaside CNRS centre with full conference facilities and on-site accommodation. Venue address: Station Biologique de Roscoff, Pl. Georges Teissier, 29680 Roscoff (Google Maps link).

Lodging is provided at either the Hotel de France or Hotel Le Gulf Stream (see the map below). You do not need to contact the hotels, the organisers will arrange accommodation. You only have to take care of getting to Roscoff!

Note that accommodation for non-permanents will be provided by default in shared double rooms. Please indicate any special accommodation or accessibility needs and any dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, vegetarian/vegan) in the dedicated fields during registration; we will do our best to accommodate your request whenever possible.

How to reach Roscoff (travel options):

Roscoff is accessible by train + bus and by ferry. The nearest major rail hubs are Morlaix and Brest. Roscoff is also served by ferry services (useful if you are travelling from the UK or Ireland). Practical transport options, operators, and timetables are summarised on the Roscoff Tourist Office website: https://www.roscoff-tourisme.com/en/transports-how-to-come/
To book train tickets, we suggest using the official SNCF (French railways) website: sncf-connect.com

  • From Paris by train: there are direct high-speed (TGV/OUIGO) services from Paris to Morlaix, with typical journey times of about 3h to 3h30m depending on the service. Train schedules and tickets (official): SNCF Connect (e.g., Paris–Morlaix): https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/train/route/paris/morlaix
