Séminaires du DPhP: Neutrinos in the XENONnT dark matter experiment
par
CEA Paris-Saclay
In recent years, the XENON experiment has searched directly for dark matter, with a particular focus on the hypothetical WIMP candidate. Despite the absence of any discovery, the exclusion limits for the interaction of WIMPs and other dark matter candidates are constantly improving, led by liquid xenon experiments. Due to their low background, low energy threshold and relatively large mass, these experiments are also becoming sensitive to neutrinos. This presentation will provide an overview of the current status of XENONnT and its search for dark matter, along with recent findings on coherent scattering of solar neutrinos and the prospects for future liquid xenon detectors in measuring neutrinos.
