The scientific program of WNM'25 aims at discussions on nuclear moment activities at various facilities worldwide and their applicability in the future for gSPEC, in particular at FAIR within HISPEC/DESPEC. Discussions aim to cover physics motivations, alternative techniques and technical feasibilities.
Key regions of the nuclear chart such as 68,78Ni, 100,132Sn and 208Pb, will be discussed and covered in the physics program, also including a focus on nuclear species unique to FAIR.
Central topics will take the current and future continuation of nuclear moment activities at fragment-facilities such as GSI FRS and Super FRS, as well as at other facilities as GANIL/ALTO, RIKEN, FRIB etc.
A high-visibility physics program is intended to identify opportunities for nuclear moment research, including gSPEC. As an outcome of the workshop, a summary of the available opportunities and potential technical developments will be prepared as part of a common document of the research community.
Topics:
- Theory and physics of nuclear moments
- Reaction techniques and state-of-the-art measurements
- Setups, potential setups & realisation
- Collaboration details
