School venue and accommodation : IJCLab on the Orsay campus

The school will take place at the IJCLab laboratory on the Orsay campus, in the south of the Paris area, located at 

Laboratoire de Physique des 2 infinis Irène Joliot-Curie – IJCLab
Bât. 100, 15 rue Georges Clémenceau, 91405 Orsay

The candidates are expected to arrive on June 9 (afternoon) and depart on June 15 (morning).

How to join the Paris area :

  • Join Paris by train: https://www.sncf.com/fr. There are direct trains from Paris to the other main cities in France and Europe, such as Strasbourg or Geneva. 
  • Join Paris by plane: https://www.parisaeroport.fr. The closest airport to the school venue is Paris-Orly. Both Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airports are connected to the venue via the RER-B line (https://www.transilien.com/es/page-lignes/ligne-b).




The exact room at IJCLab will be communicated later. 



Students will be hosted in double shared room/apartment at Residhome. It is located on the campus at walking distance from IJCLab (1 Rue de la Guyonnerie, 91440 Bures-sur-Yvette).


Accommodation is included in the registration fees. Local students who do not need accommodation in the local area have reduced fees.

Lunch and dinner 

Lunches and dinners are organised at the CROUS of Orsay: a student restaurant located on the Campus, at walking distance from IJCLab. A dedicated area will be reserved for attendants of the school to allow fruitful exchanges between participants during lunches and dinners. Lunches and dinners are included in the registration fees. 



Social dinner 

The social dinner is organised at the restaurant Le Gramophone at Orsay: https://le-gramophone-restaurant-orsay.eatbu.com/?lang=fr. The school dinner is included in the registration fees.
