Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam Year 3 Cosmology Results

Description

We, the international Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) collaboration, carried out the blind cosmology analysis using the HSC Year 3 data which covers about 416 sq. degrees. Subaru HSC is one of the most powerful instrument for high-precision weak lensing measurements. We used the measured weak lensing signals to estimate the cosmological parameters for the Lambda CDM model. In order to obtain robust results, we carried out the blind analysis (two-tier blinded analyses at catalog and analysis level), and then also adopt an ``uninformative’’ flat prior of a nuisance parameter to model a residual uncertainty in the mean source redshift for our cosmology inference. In this talk, I describe what we found from our analysis, especially focusing on the sigma8 or S8 tension.
