Description
Explosive nucleosynthesis in binary systems and massive stars are at the origin of many nuclides in the Universe. Astronomical observations (gamma-rays, pre-solar grains, ...) are mandatory to unveil the details of these explosive events, however, the underlying reaction rates should be accurately known. The experimental study of key reactions requires both the ability to have intense beams and the use of sensitive experimental devices. In this short presentation I will first review the current experimental program at ALTO using the Split-Pole magnetic spectrometer. Then I will present our experimental program at GANIL and at FRIB facility which offers unprecedented opportunities.
