We propose to investigate the 132,131Sn structure using the 131Sn(d,p)132Sn reaction using the GRIT-AGATA setup at 0° degree and the SPES beam. As doubly magic nucleus, 132Sn is a real challange for coulomb excitation and in particular to populate the non-yrast states. The (d,p) reaction is an ideal tool to populate selectively non-yrast state and highlighting new structures. The goals of the...

The strong nuclear force binds the nucleons inside the nucleus and drives the emergence of nuclear structure properties. A rare fraction of nuclei, coined as ``magic", exhibit enhanced stability and play a crucial role in nuclear sciences and related fields. This enhanced stability can be related, within an approximate mean-field description, to the existence of a large energy gap between...

The development of a new $^{238}$U beam at LNL opens up new possibilities to study the structure of the yrast excited states of neutron-rich nuclei in the vicinity of $^{78}$Ni. The focus is to study the states resulting from the coupling of the inert-core excited states and the valence protons in N = 50 isotones of 82Ge, 81Ga and 80Zn.
Already widely studied during the AGATA-VAMOS campaign...

28. Microscopic structure of Pygmy Dipole Resonances in neutron-rich nuclei using transfer reactionsDidier Beaumel (IPN Orsay)22/06/2023 10:00
Pygmy Dipole Resonances (PDR) are often referred as belonging to the new phenomenology specific of nuclei far from stability. PDR can be seen as new dynamical modes in neutron-rich nuclei associated with the excess neutrons. In most theoretical calculations, the dipole response of neutron-rich nuclei exhibits a small component at energies lower than the standard giant dipole resonance (GDR),...

The subject of this LoI is two-fold: first to investigate neutron-neutron pairing effects in the neutron-rich Sn isotopes and second, to investigate the mixed neutron-proton pairing in the heavy nuclei.
Go to contribution page
Firstly, neutron-proton mixing pairing is predicted to occur in heavy nuclei close to the N=Z line but with an isospin imbalance and within the proton drip-line. Possible experimental... -

Explosive nucleosynthesis in binary systems and massive stars are at the origin of many nuclides in the Universe. Astronomical observations (gamma-rays, pre-solar grains, ...) are mandatory to unveil the details of these explosive events, however, the underlying reaction rates should be accurately known. The experimental study of key reactions requires both the ability to have intense beams...
