Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays: Experimental status and Future Observa

The largest dataset of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays (EHECR) is taken at the Pierre Auger Observatory. I will discuss the setup and recent results on the UHECR spectrum, composition and anisotropies. The AugerPrime upgrade of this observatory is nearing completion and I will provide some prospects on the physics that can be expected with more accurate data. Finally, the long term future of this field of research will have to address the limited statistics at the highest energies. The successor of the Pierre Auger Observatory is planned already today.
