Description

Recently discovered new mechanisms for primordial black hole (PBH) formation make them a plausible candidate for dark matter in a broad range of models.  For example, PBHs appear to be a generic dark matter candidate in supersymmetric models.  Another example: fermions provided with Yukawa interactions can form PBH during the radiation dominated era or matter dominated era.  I will review the new formation scenarios for PBH, as well as the astrophysical consequences and the ongoing search for PBH dark matter.
