Description

Majorana showed that neutral massive particles may be their own anti-particles and break global symmetries. Knowing now that neutrinos have mass, we wish to understand whether its nature breaks lepton number. We seek to identify the most promising experimental signals, ranging from colliders to rare nuclear decays. To complete the picture of neutrino mass origin, we need to identify their Dirac and Majorana masses and extract corresponding signals in the gauge and Higgs sector. I will discuss this program in the minimal Left-Right symmetric model and type II seesaw.
