Description
In this poster after a brief mentioning of 20 year history of governmental program on basic research of Vietnam, the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) will be introduced. As a new and up-to-date unique agency of scientific foundation, NAFOSTED has made several effort to promote basic research in Vietnam following general management international standards. As the chair of Physics Council of NAFOSTED the author will present the recruitment procedure of projects to be granted for the 2009-2011 3-year period. Geographical and thematic distribution of the project will be analyzed. This is for the first time a national research program is trying to promote official participation of not only oversea Vietnamese scientists but also of other international physicists in the research grants.
