Description

The poster first introduces: (i) the International Programs of Physical Science – IPPS (now named International Programs of Science - IPS) an agency affiliated at Uppsala University of Sweden and (ii) the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) as the two Euro-Asian collaborating agencies. A research project on materials physics supported for 10 years by IPPS to VAST will be described, which concern various project activities including: research equipment, postgraduate education and training, support to organize scientific workshop as well as common publication. The fruitful output of the collaboration will be shown not only by some figures like: 3 sandwich PhD theses, over 20 papers published in internationally peer reviewed physics journals but a development of the collaboration into other developing countries in Asia such as: Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh… The enhanced status of research infrastructure in VAST will also be mentioned to discuss about a new possibility for international collaboration in materials physics with both developed and developing countries.
