Description

The Time and Frequency Division of NMIJ is in charge of time and frequency metrology in Japan. We are making research and development in time and frequency standards field, including 1) Yb/Sr optical lattice clocks as the next generation atomic clocks; 2) Optical frequency comb to link optical and microwave frequencies; 3) Cs frequency standard as the current definition of the second; 4) Time keeping and frequency transfer using satellites. In this poster, we present the recent activities of frequency metrology at NMIJ and suggestions of collaborations between European communities and NMIJ. This kind of collaboration should further lead to inter-regional collaborations between EURAMET and APMP.
