Description

The LHCb detector has officially ceased to take data in December 2018, 8 years after its first data-taking. During that period, it has reached several milestones results ranging from the observation of pentaquarks to the observation of intriguing "B anomalies" that could shed light on what lies beyond the Standard Model.

I present in this seminar an overview of the current status of flavour physics at LHCb, and the main prospects for the collaboration in Run 3 and beyond, in a physics landscape marked by Belle 2 and new-generation neutrino experiments.
