Tbilisi was founded in the 5-th century by Georgian king Vakhtang Gorgasali (Vakhtang I of Iberia). There are many interesting places to see in the city: the old part of it with sulfur baths and fortress of Narikala where an Arabian observatory functioned during IX-XIII centuries. You can see christian orthodox and catholic churches, mosques and synagogues almost side by side to each other. There are also museums, a theatre and the opera house nearby of the workshop place.
