Conference Schedule
Local on-site registration will start on Sunday 14th August 2022 in the afternoon.
The opening session is scheduled to take place on Monday 15th August at 8.30am and the conference will end on Saturday 20th August at 11am.
Session hours are from 8.30am to 12 noon and 1.30pm to 5pm.
Conference sessions will be held in the ICISE Conference Centre, and daily transport from the hotel to the ICISE will be provided.
Conference Facilities
The conference centre is fully equipped with modern presentation, communication and dining facilities as well as air conditioning and extensive outdoor areas.
Accommodation
Accommodation in the four star Seagull Hotel in Quy Nhon is guaranteed if your registration is made by July 14th. After this date, if the Seagull hotel is full, you will be accommodated in a neighbouring hotel.
All sessions will be held in the ICISE conference centre, ten minutes by road (or a one hour walk) away from the hotel (map). Daily bus transfer (morning and afternoon) will be provided by the conference organisation.
Participants will be expected to arrive by the afternoon of Sunday 14th August, and will leave on or after the afternoon of Saturday 20th August.
Breakfast and dinner will be served in the hotel for all participants. Lunch will be served at the ICISE. The cost per person (full board for six days) are $345 US for a double room and $495 US for a single room. Cost per additional day is $60 US for double room and $85 US for a single room. These have been confirmed for 2022.
If you wish to have alcoholic or soft drinks with your meals, these will be charged to your account by the hotel. The meals will include mineral water.
Payment for board and lodging should be done upon arrival either in cash or with your credit card (the latter may incur a small supplement).
Important Note:
Hotel reservations are made for the whole duration of the meeting, i.e. from Sunday noon, 14th August to the morning of Saturday morning 20th August. Please note that the total cost of the meeting cannot be reduced even in case of partial attendance.
If you intend to arrive before Sunday 14th August or leave after Saturday 20th August, please let us know in advance so that we can try to make the appropriate hotel reservation for you: contact rencontres.vietnam@gmail.com
Please note also that if you arrive before midday and wish your room to be made available immediately, you will be charged for an extra day. You must inform us so that the hotel can prepare your room in advance.
Travel
There are two main international airports in Vietnam : Hanoi (Noi Bai airport : HAN) and Ho Chi Minh (Tan Son Nhat airport : SGN). As there more flights from Ho Chi Minh to Quy Nhon, it is more convenient to fly from foreign countries to Ho Chi Minh than to Hanoi. Booking international travel to one of these major cities, and using a separate ticket/airline for travel within Vietnam is often much cheaper.
In order to welcome you and organise your transfer from Quy Nhon airport to the conference hotel, please inform the conference secretariat of your flight number as well as the date and the arrival time in Quy Nhon. Conference buses will be available at Quy Nhon airport on Sunday 14 August (morning and afternoon flights) and Monday 15 August (morning flights).

COVID Testing in Quy Nhon
Whilst the restrictions for entering Vietnam are now much more relaxed, many participants will require COVID testing in order to allow them to return to their home nations or travel elsewhere. The local organisers are able to arrange full testing (including RT-PCR tests) during our stay in Quy Nhon, to ensure that the requirements are met for international travel. Please let them know in advance so that this can be organised.

Financial Support
Some limited funds may be available to support those who need it in order to attend the conference, such as early-career researchers who are not representing experimental collaborations. Certain constraints apply to the limited resources we have available, so support will only be granted on a case-by-case basis.
Social Events
- Welcome cocktail on Sunday 14th August at 7pm.
- Excursion on the afternoon of Wednesday 17th August.
- Conference dinner on Thursday 18th August in the evening.
All participants and their families are invited to regularly scheduled events.
Please note that if you and/or a guest wish to organise a special tour, a tour operator at the hotel can help you.
A post-conference tour of Vietnam is available for participants.
It will also be possible to have a short (one- or two-day) tour either before or after the conference. However, this will have to be arranged directly by the participant through a local travel agency.
