Neutrino Oscillation and Sterile Neutrino Experiment JSNS2

Description

The neutrino oscillation is a phenomenon which is not accounted for by
the standard model of  elementary particles and therefore, it is very
important to measure the oscillation parameters. All the mixing angles;
mixing angle Theta and the absolute square mass differences; Delta m^2,
have already been measured and the experimental focuses are moving to
measurements of CP violation and 1-3 mass hierarchy.
 In addition to those investigations of the 3 flavor neutrino
oscillations, searches for novel neutrino properties such as 0-nu double
beta decays and sterile neutrinos, also have become very active now.
In this talk, I will review the current status of neutrino oscillation
experiments from the basics of the oscillation mechanism. And then I
will overview the future prospects of the neutrino oscillation studies,
including the sterile neutrino experiments JSNS^2 being prepared at J-
PARC, Japan.
