UV aspects of B-physics anomalies

In this talk I will review the status of the flavour anomalies, both in neutral and charged current processes. After discussing what we can learn from the EFT approach, I will briefly present a UV complete and calculable gauge model addressing the anomalous results in semileptonic B-meson decays.
