Description
We will give an introduction to the continuum Gaussian free field in two-dimensions, Liouville quantum gravity, and its relationship with SLE. We will then summarize how these tools can be used to relate scaling limits of random planar maps decorated with statistical physics models to SLE on Liouville quantum gravity.
