Next Generation Type Ia Supernova Surveys and Analyses

Type Ia supernovae are a powerful probe of the expansion history of the Universe. The present, future, and far future high-redshift supernova searches are/will be conducted by the Dark Energy Survey, the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, and the space telescope WFIRST. These experiments successively are collecting supernovae in increasing numbers and with higher data quality. Sophisticated new analyses techniques are required to take advantage of the improved data and lower the systematic floor currently limiting current measurements.
