Description

Confined quarks and gluons from the proton-proton scattering manifest themselves as groups of collimated particles in the final state. The particles are clustered into physically measurable objects at hadron colliders: these objects are called jets. In this seminar, I will discuss the jet reconstruction and jet energy calibration techniques used in ATLAS.  I will review the performance of jets over this last year using sqrt(s)=13 TeV collisions data collected during the Run-2 of the LHC, as well as the first Run-2 results in which jet performance plays a crucial role.
