Description
In the seminar highlights of the ATLAS results from the summer conferences will be presented together with a brief description of the performance of the various object reconstruction techniques used by the collaboration. The detector operations and LHC status in the current run will be described since the first Stable Beams of Run2. In the second part, the roadmap to the future of ATLAS and LHC will be presented in term of the Scoping Document - a recently published study on various ATLAS Phase 2 Upgrade scenarios for the High Luminosity LHC period. A special attention will be devoted to the idea and physics motivation for a High Granularity Timing Detector.
