Different observations point us to physics beyond the Standard Model.
One example is the baryon asymmetry in the Universe. After briefly
summarizing the current experimental status, I will give an overview
over possible theoretical models that could give an explanation for this
observation. Hereby, one prominent example is the mechanism of
leptogenesis. In order to further assess the question which model is
realized in nature, it is a powerful method to combine both cosmology
and collider physics. Especially with respect to the next run of the
LHC, I will discuss whether it is possible to test or falsify leptogenesis.
