Description
In this talk we present an analysis strategy and the relative dedicated tool to determine the
exclusion confidence level for any scenario involving multiple heavy extra quarks with generic decay channel, as predicted in many extension of the Standard Model.
The tool is named XQCAT (eXtra Quark Combined Analysis Tool) and is based on publicly available experimental data from direct searches of top partners and also from Supersymmetry inspired searches. We recast the CMS limits on new heavy quarks considering a complete set of possible decay channels and the resulting excluding confidence level are presented for some simple scenarios with multiple states and generic coupling assumptions. We then discuss the reach of the SUSY analysis so as to set bounds on new quarks resonances. In particular we report on the re-interpretation of the existing limits on scenarios with one and multiple top partners that have non exclusive couplings to the third Standard Model generation of quark, a scenario not covered so far by the the experimental collaborations.
