Description
We consider dynamics of a class of models with tachyon-like potentials on (non-)Archimedean spaces. Motivation, due to A. Sen, comes from string theory; however, we suggest applicability and importance of results in context of inflation theory and quantum cosmology. Dealing with the DBI-type Lagrangians in the case of spatially homogenous tachyon fields, we connect them to locally equivalent canonical ones. Some of them will appear to be even quadratic Lagrangians. Classical actions and quantum propagators on real and p-adic spaces are calculated. An adelic generalization of these models is discussed, as a good point for deeper understanding of tachyon-like processes around Planck scale.
