Description
Many exotic models predict the existence of heavy resonance states decaying to quarks and gluons. The jet observables, and especially those based on the Particle Flow reconstruction method, are among the first to be available since the QCD induced collisions supply us with jets in abundance for their commissioning. Different topologies of jet final states, possibly coupled to the Missing transverse momentum, were explored by the CMS and Atlas collaborations looking for excesses or suppressions in the production spectrum with respect to the standard model predictions. The exclusion limits even based on the first picobarns of LHC data extends frequently those produced by the Tevatron collaborations.
