Description
Standard Model of particle and the Quantum Chromodynamic (QCD) describes the quarks and gluons behavior inside the hadrons. Quarkonia are bounded states made of heavy quark-antiquark pairs used for the study of strong interaction in perturbative and non-perturbative regimes in proton-proton collisions. There are also probes for Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) produced in heavy ions collisions. Among quarkonia, the J/ψ is a charm-anticharm meson which has the ability to decay into leptonic channels. It consists of J/ψ emitted during the collision (prompt) and coming from the b hadron decay (non-prompt). The goal of this thesis is to measure the prompt/non-prompt J/ψ fraction in the muonic decay channel using the ALICE Run 3 data. This will be the first measurement at forward rapidity with the muon spectrometer thanks to the addition of the Muon ForwardTracker (MFT).
