Dear colleagues, dear adventurers of laboratories and overloaded servers, forgotten equipment, welcome to this presentation where we will explore a subject as large as the number of Excel files forgotten in your files: the issue of data in Research.
Between the flows of data that abound and leak like water between the fingers, those that are lost in the darkest corners of the machine (or those of others), those that resist everything like a recalcitrant sample, those that, pushed to the extreme, end up looking like contemporary art, those that AI wants to steal from us, those that
shouldn’t be there, those that we no longer know what to do, and finally, us lost in the middle of all this, current
research has also become an extreme sport.
Today, we are going to try to face the beast, to talk, and even to tame this multi-headed monster, armed with the
best tools on the market (well, those we have the right to use), our know-how or defeat, our colleagues, but
above all our common sense, and finally, and above all our sense of humor.
So, are you ready to dive into big data... without leaving any feathers, or at least, to try not to drown in it
