Description

The top quark is expected to be particularly sensitive to new physics effects due to its large Yukawa coupling and close connection to the electroweak symmetry-breaking sector. I present a comprehensive SMEFT analysis of top-quark flavour-changing neutral-current and charged-current effective interactions, using constraints from flavour physics, electroweak precision observables, Higgs measurements, and electric dipole moments. The resulting bounds significantly improve existing limits on several top-quark effective couplings and provide new constraints on CP-violating interactions. Implications for rare top decays and future collider searches will also be discussed.
