Description
Astrophysical neutrinos are expected to be produced during transient phenomena that also produce gravitational waves, such as compact binary coalescences, in particular those involving neutron stars, or core-collapse supernovae. Gravitational waves are routinely detected by the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA interferometers, while the ANTARES and KM3NeT deep-sea neutrino telescopes are sensitive to neutrino interactions in a wide range of energies, from MeV to PeV. The contribution reviews recent searches for common sources of neutrinos and gravitational waves using ANTARES and KM3NeT data during the third observing run, as well as current studies with the fourth observing run and prospects. It will cover both studies, including significant gravitational wave events and those using subthreshold triggers. The observations are then converted to various constraints on the population of common sources (neutrino luminosity, rate density).
