Description

Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detectors (MKID) are a promising technology for the next generation of cryogenics experiments.
Where Line Intensity Mapping experiments require a high frequency multiplexing and a large range of spectrale resolution, we designed and simulated a new one layer coplanar filter bank spectrometer MKID.
This new spectrometer uses a commun short circuit between the readout quarter wavelength (MKID) and the filter quarter wavelength (filter).
We simulated multiple channels going up to 100% transmission power to the MKID.
One benefits of this design, is the flexible coupling capacitance between the feedline and the filter. We have been able to design and simulated one high resolution spectrometer (R = 2300) and one low resolution spectrometer (R = 230) without changing his behaviour.
