Description

The next generation of cosmology experiment are right around the corner, always looking for new discoveries.

CMB anisotropies have extensively been observed and studied by many space and ground missions. Instead of the temperature fluctuations of this microwave background, the cosmology community is now interested in the B modes of polarization of the fluctuations. The information carried by this signal puts strong additional constraints on the cosmological parameters and provides important test for inflationary scenarios.

In order to accomplish this, we need a finer understanding of the detection chain. The detectors are based on Transition edge Sensors, a temperature sensitive quantum detector, which is read by SQUIDs, Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices. The goal here is to characterize the whole detection chain, and to study the behaviour of the noise contributions depending on the TES bias point.
