Description
The Pierre Auger Observatory has completed its southern detector array for the detection of ultra-high energy cosmic rays in 2008. First results from data collected since January 2004 have given new insights in the origin of cosmic rays, and have confronted us with some surprises. The path is now directing us towards the construction of the northern Auger site in Colorado to chart the entire sky in the light of cosmic particles.
