Description
The predictions of the standard model (SM) of particle physics have been verified to high level of accuracy. However, several open questions still remain and the SM is often regarded as an effective theory valid up to a certain energy scale. In the past decades, various theoretical scenarios have been proposed to extend physics to much higher energies.
At the Tevatron collider, the CDF and D0 experiments are carrying out a wide program of searches for physics beyond the SM. I will present the most recent results, with emphasis on topics of interest for future data-taking at the LHC collider. The status and discovery prospects for supersymmetry, extra-dimensions and other "exotics" models is discussed.
