Content and Discussion

• GL introduces the changes in EOSC and the vision for the next EOSC phase (see https://zenodo.org/records/10732049 ) - developments in nodes (EU, thematic and national nodes)
  • establish Punch4NDFI as German national thematic/domain-based node
  • ESCAPE collaboration to add national contact points
  • future: always one or two countries to host ESCAPE main service (as node)
  • set up resources/service and request funding to operation
• TS introduces Punch4NFDI (not a legal entity, not long-term resources)
  • correspondence to ESCAPE on german national level - share a vision; could be a national node
  • NFDI german representative to EOSC-A; 
  • NFDI with tendency to centralise (benefit everybody, not thematic)
  • evaluation in 6 months if positive, followed by proposal for project's 2nd round
  • Proposals for OSCARS calls will come Punch4NFDI partners
• MAT had discussion with Ute Gunsenheimer -> push for collaboration
• MAT: OSSR first service to work together
• TS also for DESY - supportive to PANOSC and ESCAPE
• Scoping of MoU
  • collaboration on different levels possible (general collaboration to co-operation/co-development of services)
  • Germany could act as example
  • MoU:
    • acknowledge of both projects
    • vision 
    • nodes (European and national)
    • participation of co-operation
      • developments and operation - more problematic
      • blueprinting
    • list services (but keep open) - put to annexes?
  • KG and Stefan start drafting the updates
