... an exciting hands-on event taking place on March 25 & 26 2024, in Seoul, South Korea. This unique gathering is your chance to delve into the new Python-based version of the Monte Carlo software GATE, built upon the powerful Geant4 framework.
The objective of the tutorial is to understand the features of the platform dedicated to the development of detection systems (PET, SPECT, CT and X-rays) and detector response, the management of medical images, the development of clinical and preclinical beams in radiation therapy and dose calculation for different radiation therapy treatments (internal or external)
The training will be a combination of lectures on the various topics and hands-on exercises using GATE. Participants will run the exercises on their own computers so they can continue using GATE after the school.
After successfully attending the school, including the exercises, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
You should bring along basic computer science and programming knowledge, and ideally some experience in Python, but if you are an expert-programmer that's even better.
Don't miss out on this unique chance to expand your horizons in next generation Monte Carlo radiation transport simulation, learn from and with experts, and contribute to the future of Gate 10. Register before February 15, 2024, and be a part of this exciting journey.
