Have you ever experienced feeling more creative, full of energy, and motivated after interacting with a colleague? On the other hand, have you ever felt irritated, sad, depressed, or humiliated after interacting with someone else? It's normal! We are all different and have diverse backgrounds, which often leads us to communicate with different styles. If we all understand and master positive dynamics at work, our interactions can be more satisfying and effective.
Expectations, motivations and needs converge in the workplace. People see the working context as an opportunity to use and improve specific skills, to receive demands and to achieve goals. The determining element of being in a dimension of psychophysical well-being is given by small daily gestures that act as protective and preventive factors to avoid a state of stress that, over time, tends to become chronic, predisposing the person to an event of anxiety, burnout and other forms of personal and professional discomfort.
Topics include: work-life balance, stress and conflict management, understanding different modes of interaction, and diversity and inclusion.
The workshop is organized by the Graduate Schools Earth, Planets, Universe and Biomedical Engineering in collaboration with the Paris Centre for Cosmological Physics. It is funded by the SMARTS-UP grant.
