Fusion products and finite-dimensional quotients for periodic Temperley-Lieb algebras

In this talk, I will report on recent developments in the study of periodic Temperley-Lieb algebras and their applications in physics. After an introduction on these diagrammatic algebras, I will describe joint work with A. Langlois-Rémillard on the study of finite-dimensional quotients for the Temperley-Lieb algebra. I will also discuss ongoing progress jointly with Y. Ikhlef in defining fusion products for representations of these algebras, that reproduce the expected fusion rules in conformal field theory.
