Challenges in Constraining Gravity with Cosmic Voids

Cosmic voids in theory provide a rich environment to test modifications to gravity as the low densities allow the deviations from GR to be unscreened. In this talk, I’ll discuss results from studying voids in N-body simulations of GR and commonly studied modifications to gravity that show, in practice, the use of voids to differentiate between gravity models with upcoming galaxy surveys may be more challenging than had been previously anticipated.
