In my  talk I shall discuss  the present status and perspectives of the Gamma Factory  (GF) project for CERN. A special emphasis will be given to the status  of  the GF proof-of-principle experiment,  the results of the beam tests at the SPS and LHC, and on the quantitative studies of the research potential of GF in multiple domains of science.
