Monthly meeting for Dark Matter Test Science Project:

  • On the first Tuesday of the month, at 10-11 (up to 11:30) Rome/Stockholm (main meeting)
  • If requested by people who can't attend, we can also have a catch-up chat on the following Monday, at 11-12 Rome/Stockholm. 

Focus of this meeting: 

  • Round table and updates from the TSP postdocs 
  • Updates from EOSC-Future / WP6
  • Preparing for next month's progress report meeting

      infrastructure:

      • Rucio version has been migrated to newer one (1.28), should have better token support
        • DLaaS interface has some incompatibility issue -- taking care of this, but not fully dependent on us
      • Gave a presentation on our infrastructure during the HEP bi-monthly meetings (with Lukas), a lot of interesting discussion, will start joining regularly
      • putting together VRE working group to help on the implementation of DLaaS with ESCAPE partners
      • exercise to reproduce the cluster and expand -- in progress
        • better secrets management (SOPS)
        • load balancing
        • larger RAM for nodes (VMs on openstack)

      Science:

      • new sciences joining the EOSC-Future project from Extreme Universe and Multi-messenger Astronomy -- GW from Scuola Normale di Pisa
      • Fermilat webscraper implemented (need merge request from repo) from Pooja
      • working on adding ATLAS athena environment for event generation on the VRE -- work in progress with Jared
