      • NWO-I / ASTRON 1m
        • Successful ESAP busy week in the week starting 27 June.
          • Notes on the WP5 wiki.
          • Substantial progress across a bunch of activities, including batch processing (see Gareth's update below), Async ESAP, EGI integration, Rosetta integration, DLaaS...
          • Also impressive work from Vigeesh Gangadharan to integrate the KIS archive with ESAP!
        • Roll out of Async ESAP to sdc-dev.astron.nl should happen this week.
          • Disruption should be minimal (fingers crossed).
          • Further announcement when it's been scheduled, and then keep your eyes open for problems/issues/etc.
        • Final WP5 ESFRI user training workshop on the Science Platform
          • ​​​​​​​This is the final milestone that we are required to deliver before the end of the project.
          • Current plan: a two (short) day workshop. First day focused on core ESAP functionality (overall design, architecture, adding new services, deployment, etc). Second day focused on other WP5 activities that relate to it (e.g. the KIS archive discussed above, Rosetta, the work on the Rubin platform, etc).
          • I will draft and circulate an agenda shortly.
          • Likely dates are:
            • 7/8 November
            • 21/22 November
            • 28/29 November
          • Meeting probably held remotely (Zoom), but if there is appetite for an in-person or hybrid event please speak up!

        Work on the Rubin Science Platform:
        - RSP still works at LAPP, on our servers
        - Integration of a CTA container

      • CSIC 1m
        In the last 2-3 months we have been working on:
        - Configuration of a binderHub instance in our platform and integration of this instance into ESAP
        - Metadata description: Application of the data model suggested in the HCG16 use case
        - Integration of EGI as a compute facility in ESAP
        - Integration of the use case based on Asteroseismology
        - Evaluation on how to support scientific reproducibility

        • Focused on Rosetta; trying to get it running.
          • Ran into various issues.
          • Resolved with Stefano during the busy week.

          • Negative — still some functionality missing for deploying containers from ESAP.
        • Rosetta alternatives.
          • e.g. Portainer, investigating whether it is applicable.
        • Looking to describe generic containers in metadata over the next months.

      • Reminder: no WP5 monthly meeting in August. We reconvene in this forum on 19 September.
      • Tech meetings continue on Mondays at 16:00 CEST through the summer, but may be cancelled at short notice if we don't have sufficient participants.
      • ESCAPE project close-out event will be 25 & 26 October; details will be forthcoming.
