New Physics searches at the B-factories -- Pablo del Amo Sanchez (LAPP - Annecy)

The rich physics programme of the B-factories, the BaBar and Belle experiments, comprises searches of New Physics effects in a variety of channels. Recent results on some of these channels are reviewed here, including inclusive and exclusive radiative B decays, semileptonic B-> K* l+ l- decays, B leptonic decays, hadronic charmless B decays related to the so-called "K pi puzzle" and tau decays. We also briefly discuss the relevant experimental methods employed as well as a few constraints on different beyond the Standard Model scenarios derived from the above experimental results.
