Description

The Large Sized Telescope (LST) prototype is currently under commissioning at La Palma. It's the first on-site telescope of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA). CTA is the new generation of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACT) for the ground based detection of Very High-Energy gamma-ray (VHE).

GRBs are short explosions, they are one the most energetic phenomena in the universe. Their detection at very high energies is recent, and so far only four events have been detected. Detecting more bursts would help to better understand the emission mechanism in play. One of the key science driver of LST is the detection at VHE of these short explosions. In this perspective, the LST already has started to follow GRBs after alerts sent by satellite. In this presentation, I will show the first results of these observations.
