        MS30 completed:

        MS30: Deployment of initial set of ESFRI software on prototype platform

        Milestone 30 was reached upon deploying a set of ESFRI software through the interactive data analysis interface on the prototype platform.

        In the current version of the prototype platform, workflows take the form of Jupyter Notebooks. Examples developed at CSIC-IAA, ASTRON, and JIVE can be explored through Binder, a project that offers an easy place to share computing environments and enables workflow reproducibility by sharing the workflow and its environment through a single link.

        The interactive interfaces also connects to the various JupyterHub instances deployed by ESCAPE ESFRI partners, including SKAO, ASTRON, IFAE-PIC and CERN.

        The interface also allows users to connect to:

        • the EGI DIRAC instance, where LOFAR and KM3Net data processing can be performed, and

        • the CTA DIRAC instance.

        Hardware for Jupyterlab environment ordered. When delivered will connect to IAM to provide CASA based Jupyter kernels for processing European VLBI Network data using an experimental notebook pipeline.

        Nothing major to report for this meeting.

        Plan to catch-up with WP5 IDA members this month to discuss progress. We've been continuing our experiments with JupyterHub on Kubernetes, and reviewing dev work that needs to take place for the IDA component of WP5.
