MS30: Deployment of initial set of ESFRI software on prototype platform
Text prepared by Zheng Meyer-Zhao, December 2020. Submitted to Jayesh Wagh, January 2021.
Milestone 30 was reached upon deploying a set of ESFRI software through the interactive data analysis interface on the prototype platform.
In the current version of the prototype platform, workflows take the form of Jupyter Notebooks. Examples developed at CSIC-IAA, ASTRON, and JIVE can be explored through Binder, a project that offers an easy place to share computing environments and enables workflow reproducibility by sharing the workflow and its environment through a single link.
The interactive interfaces also connects to the various JupyterHub instances deployed by ESCAPE ESFRI partners, including SKAO, ASTRON, IFAE-PIC and CERN.
The interface also allows users to connect to:
the EGI DIRAC instance, where LOFAR and KM3Net data processing can be performed, and
the CTA DIRAC instance.
More information regarding the interactive data analysis interface can be found online at https://sdc.astron.nl/esap-gui/interactive.
