In the framework of a present important modification of the european landscape of nuclear physicis facilities (advent of FAIR facility in the next few years, upgrade of HiE-ISOLDE, start of SPIRAL2 phase1,..), both managements of CEA and CNRS have launched a process to bring up to date the foreseen role of GANIL in the fields of nuclear physics, atomic physics, biophysics and associated applications and technologies (neutrons for science and applications, energy…). This is summarized in the letter available here.
With this perspective, you are invited to send a contribution of about two pages maximum that summarizes what are the important assets that GANIL brings to your field of activities, and what would be the optimal evolution for this structure. In addition, you are invited to develop the main challenges that you anticipate GANIL will have to face.
You may deposit (either individually or collectively) your contribution on this web page up to the 17th of April 2020.
It will be public and will be the basis for a synthesis and an analysis that will be driven by an international committee lead by Michel Spiro.
