New physics NLO simulations at colliders

All key ingredients for achieving new physics simulations at the next-to-leading order accuracy in QCD are now available. We describe the latest extensions of the FeynRules and MadGraph5_aMC@NLO packages that allow to deal with different renormalisation options (particularly relevant for supersymmetry) and how to treat the presence of narrow resonances (thus generalising the so-called on-shell subtraction approaches). We present various phenomenological examples for supersymmetry, simplified dark matter models and vector-like quark effective setups.
