Dans cet exposé nous parlons de résultats récents à l'approximation 4PN
pour les équations du mouvement et le champ d'onde des systèmes binaires
compacts. Nous mentionnons aussi un résultat nouveau concernant le
problème du centre de masse d'un système binaire.

In this talk I will give an overview of modelling coalescing black hole
binaries. The prime focus will be on the models used in searching for
gravitational waves (GWs) in VIRGO/LIGO data. I will also describe challenges
in GW modelling for the future space based detector LISA.
